Hachnasat Torah

Thanks to Elliot Krischer and Mayer Blisko, the DDC was able to obtain a Sefer Torah (Bible Scroll) for our synagogue, earlier this year. We welcomed the occasion with songs, dancing, food and an appearance by the Consul General of Israel, Ambassador Ofir Akunis.

It is always nice to celebrate happy occasions together, but specifically this year, with many members of the diamond industry dealing with difficult situations, from terrorism in Israel and India to regular business struggles here in New York, we are happy to have something to celebrate.
